Air Force Floating Door System
The AASF hangar at Whiteman Air Force Base constructed by Burns and McDonald provides the Missouri Army National Guard direct maintenance and operation support for a new battalion of AH-64 attack aircraft in approximately 40,300 square feet. Large enough to fully enclose eight aircraft with required work clearances, the hangar bay is accessible through 20-foot tall Norco horizontal sliding hangar doors approximately 60 feet wide, providing a single leaf for each bay.
