Norco's core strengths in functional versatility, innovation, and flexibility are brilliantly showcased in this impressive project. This ingenious solution empowers the facility to seamlessly transition between an open-air amphitheater and an enclosed theatre, adapting effortlessly to seasonal requirements and diverse performances.
To achieve this remarkable adaptability, Norco engineered a unique system featuring eight curved rails that guide eight door panels to the right and seven to the left. Both halves gracefully retract into a dedicated mezzanine holding area, which can then be securely enclosed by 30-foot-high swing doors, also custom-designed by Norco.
Recognizing the critical importance of proper auditory resonance, the interior surfaces of these doors were meticulously fitted with textured acoustical panels and integrated sound-absorbing metal sandwich panels. This meticulous attention to detail ensures optimal acoustics, enhancing the performance experience for both artists and audience. This project stands as a testament to Norco's capability to deliver highly specialized, innovative, and aesthetically integrated solutions for even the most complex architectural and operational challenges.
