Louisiana Crane Door

This project consists of three door systems at the end of the building, designed to accommodate three crane operated truck loading and unloading areas. The cranes can run outside the building to a covered loading dock and the very large and heavy product can be brought into the building directly from the truck to save handling time. The tilt door is hydraulically operated and electrically interlocked with the rolling door below, so the door cannot be opened independently from the other, for safety purposes. The controls were designed and built in Norco's UL rated controls department. Norco worked with this client to determine the best system or combination of doors that would work to solve their unique situation and aid in improving their business processes.

Features:
  • Bi-Parting Southern Door System on a rolling track
  • Assured compatibility by using the same door supplier for both door systems
  • Safety Feature: Tilt door is hydraulically operated and electrically interlocked with Rolling Door System, so that doors cannot be opened independently from one another
  • For additional safety, electrical door interlock switch disables the drive door when personnel door is open
