Norco: Manufacturing More Than Aviation Doors

If you think aviation-focused hangar doors are the only projects we do, think again.

Our expertise in manufacturing high-quality doors that can withstand harsh weather conditions is what made us the ideal partner for the unique Galveston No. 4 Fire Station in Galveston, Texas. We manufactured the door system for this station, which was a reconstruction of the fire station originally destroyed by Hurricane Ike in 2008. The new fire station door designed and installed by our team at Norco was specifically crafted to withstand future hurricanes.

The fire station is located next to Scholes International Airport and has been hailed as "one of the coolest fire stations on earth" by Firehouse Magazine. It has also won the Studio Design Award from the Texas Society of Architects and the Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects.

The fire station was designed by the Dallas office of HDR Architecture, and it has the look of an unpretentious yet polished beach house. The design is meant to blend in with its surroundings while still being a functional and durable space for the firefighters who work there.

The door system our team manufactured for the fire station is a testament to our skill and expertise. We were able to create a door system that not only looks impressive, but also performs exceptionally well in harsh weather conditions. The fact that we were chosen to work on such a unique project is a testament to our reputation in the industry.

In fact, No. 4 Fire Station was featured in Architectural Record Magazine, which is a highly respected publication in the architecture and design industry.

Norco’s work on the No. 4 Fire Station in Galveston, Texas is a prime example of our skill and expertise in manufacturing high-quality door systems that can withstand even the harshest weather conditions. Our work on this project is part of the accolades and recognition the Galveston No. 4 fire station achieved, and we're proud to have to have worked on this unique project.
